The best places to meet and get photos of celebrities in London written by a Freelance Celebrity Photographer specialising in Celebrity Photos, Red Carpet Events and Celebrity Sightings. BUT a word of warning it’s not easy.
First off celebrities are people just like us so they tend to do similar things to normal people but they also do things that normal people will probably never get a chance to do in their lifetimes. Just like us they do like to have some privacy and will go to great lengths to protect it the best they can!
Celebrity sightings in London or in any other Celebrity renowned city such as LA or New York can be split into basically two categories and that is Work related sightings and Non work (Personal or Private) Related Sightings.
Category 1. Work related sightings: can be anything such as film premieres, product launches, promotional events, fashion events, awards and other red carpet style events, studio visits including TV, Radio and Music and official parties and anything else that can be classed as celebrity work related and non personal in nature. This is the realm of the Celebrity and Event photographer and Celebrities are expecting to be photographed at these locations and are dressed and act accordingly. Shots tend to be posed rather than candid most of the time.
Category 2. Non work related sightings: can include hotel arrivals/departures, restaurants, airports, flat/house
arrival/departures, shopping trips, school runs, bars and clubs, holiday/vacations and more and tend to be more personal in nature. This is the realm of the Papaprazzi Photographer and shots tend to be more candid in nature. Although they are celebrities they may be dressed down and not so up for being photographed but are aware that no matter where they go there is always the chance of photographers appearing somewhere and they are prepared for that fact (most of the time).
